Hi! I’m Marnie.
I’m the founder and CEO of Gameday in the USA, an author, speaker, philanthropist, dog rescuer, certified happiness life coach, daughter, and—most importantly—mom.
Sports have always been part of my story. I grew up surrounded by football, but over the years, my love of the game has grown into something much bigger: a passion for using sports to help people learn, connect, and discover new possibilities.
That passion inspired me to create Sports Edutainment®, where the excitement of sports meets education, storytelling, travel, history, culture, and life lessons. Through books, speaking, school visits, and community experiences, I want to help kids and families see that there is so much to discover beyond the scoreboard.
I’m a Philadelphia native now living in the Carolinas, and giving back remains at the heart of everything I do.

Where Sports, Stories & Learning Come Together
Marnie Schneider is the founder and CEO of Gameday in the USA and the creator of Sports Edutainment, an approach that uses the universal appeal of sports to make learning engaging, memorable, and fun.
As an author, speaker, and philanthropist, Marnie brings together sports, literacy, history, travel, culture, leadership, and community to inspire children and families to explore the world around them.
Her bestselling Gameday in the USA books began with Football Freddie and Fumble the Dog, taking young readers on adventures through professional football cities across America. The Gameday experience has now expanded to baseball with Baseball Billie and Bunt the Dog, opening a whole new world of ballparks, cities, traditions, and stories.
For Marnie, sports are more than games. They are a starting point for learning, connection, confidence, teamwork, curiosity, and experiences that can last a lifetime.
A Legacy
That Inspired a Bigger Mission
Marnie’s connection to sports and service began at home.
Her grandfather, Leonard Tose, was the former owner of the Philadelphia Eagles and helped establish the first Ronald McDonald House. Her mother, Susan Tose Spencer, made history as the first female general manager of an NFL team and also served as legal counsel and vice president of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Growing up in a family where sports, leadership, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy were closely connected shaped Marnie’s perspective on what sports can mean beyond competition.
Today, she carries that legacy forward in her own way—expanding the conversation beyond football and using the power of sports to encourage literacy, learning, leadership, and giving back.
“As the granddaughter of a Philadelphia Eagles owner, and someone who grew up happily visiting one NFL city after the other on team travels, I was educated on the life lessons of the greatest game on turf. Now I want to pass on the joy of being a fan and that gameday love to every child in the world.”
Sports Edutainment in Action
Sports can capture a child’s attention. Marnie believes that attention can become an opportunity to learn.
Through Sports Edutainment, the excitement of the game becomes a gateway to reading, history, geography, culture, travel, teamwork, leadership, and community. Books, activities, school visits, speaking engagements, and interactive experiences help kids connect what they love about sports with the world beyond the field.
It’s learning inspired by the game—and a way to help children become more curious about the people, places, and stories around them.
Turning a Love of Sports Into a Love of Learning
Marnie’s journey as an author grew from her love of sports, travel, and discovering what makes America’s great sports cities special. Those experiences inspired Gameday in the USA, a children’s book series that turns the excitement of gameday into an opportunity for learning and discovery.
Through Football Freddie and Fumble the Dog and Baseball Billie and Bunt the Dog, young readers explore professional sports cities while discovering their history, culture, landmarks, food, traditions, and people. Along the way, the stories introduce meaningful lessons about teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, friendship, and community.
For parents and educators, the books offer a fun way to connect a child’s enthusiasm for sports with reading, learning, and curiosity—at home, in the classroom, and beyond.
Marnie also brings the Gameday experience to life through interactive school visits, readings, and events that show children just how much there is to discover through sports.
Family First
For all the roles Marnie plays, the one she treasures most is being a mom to her three children—Jonathan, Goldie, and Leo.
Her family experiences have reinforced the importance of community, compassion, resilience, and showing up for others—values that continue to influence both her life and her work.
And family in Marnie’s world has always included animals. A lifelong animal lover and dog rescuer, she shares her life with four dogs and a pony, bringing plenty of personality, joy, and inspiration to the Gameday story.

Marnie’s Mom
Susan Tose Spencer
Like many, Marnie’s involvement with the Alzheimer’s Association began when this tragic disease became a reality for her family. Marnie’s mother, Susan Tose Spencer, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2018. Since that moment, Marnie has made it a part of her personal journey to tell her mom’s story and listen to the stories of others.
“Following the release of our first book (co-authored with my mom), she started to exhibit some strange behavior, which I now know is dementia. And then suddenly it was like, ‘Oh no, what am I going to do now?’ We had started this business book hobby and my mom was like, ‘Go finish it. Just keep going.’”
